Worldwide Alloy Surfacing uses a carbide HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) application system. This system has proven to be high-quality, consistent, reliable, & efficient. It produces an ultra-dense coating, low porosity, and high bond strength . . . EVERY CUSTOMER’S DREAM!

We provide a wide variety of coating options, which differ from powder size to chemistry-breakdown, so that we can best fit our clients’ needs and specifications. Our spray booths can handle very small to much larger parts up to 190” long. With many years of experience & our superior powders & coating system, it all works together to provide optimum results for our customers.

ADVANTAGES OF “TUNGSTEN CARBIDE HVOF” versus ”OLD SCHOOL METHODS”

  • Better “Wear Resistance” (more than 4x that of previous methods)
  • Corrosion Resistance” is nearly 5x better than previous methods
  • Faster Process than hard prior methods(which saves customers time & money)
  • Close to 35% stronger Hardness than previous methods, which results in parts being able to operate in harsher chemical environments
  • Higher Quality At A Lower Cost (full process is a fraction of the time compared to prior methods)

HOW TUNGSTEN CARBIDE HVOF PROCESS WORKS:

A mixture of liquid/gas fuel and oxygen is pushed through a HVOF combustion chamber where it is ignited and combusts repetitively.

The hot gases build pressure and are fed through a nozzle (so much pressure is created that the propagation at the exit point of the barrel can easily pass the speed of sound).

The powder is inserted into the gas stream and both are simultaneously directed towards the surface of the substrate to be coated. This well-engineered process creates a high bond strength and low porosity coating.
